Like so many other industries the wedding industry has been hit hard by the Covid 19 pandemic. What should be one of the happiest days of people’s lives has become one of uncertainty and in the UK certainly, as at the time of recording this episode, absolute confusion and devastation.

In today’s special ‘What About Weddings’ episode we’re focusing on the UK and what we can do to help our industry get back on its feet again quickly.

Couples are confused. Are they allowed to have smaller weddings of up to 30 or aren’t they? Should they cancel? Should they postpone? What should they do?

And as for all those Wedding CEOS, those small businesses struggling to keep afloat my heart goes out to them. Our industry is made up primarily of solopreneurs who have it seems been forgotten by the government.

If something isn’t done soon the industry as we know it will cease to exist. Those amazing creatives who help create magical memories for their couples will have to close their doors and try to make ends meet in some other way.

How would you feel if that was you? Through no fault of your own watching your hard work, dedication, blood sweat and tears go down the drain because the government have deemed the wedding industry to be irrelevant.

My two guests today, Annabel Beeforth from Love My Dress and Nina Beer of Occasion Queens, have been working tirelessly with a team of unbelievable wedding pros to try and move things forward and help our struggling industry to get back on its feet again.

You can help too! Listen to this episode to find out how.
