Provenance and short food mileage, building a successful team and learning to balance a new business with other elements of life with Arthur & Tas, two co-founders of Brother Marcus, the Balham café serving deliciously innovative brunch menus and hosting equally exciting supperclubs.

We chatted to Arthur and Tas, two of the founders of Balham café, Brother Marcus, who serve deliciously innovative brunch dishes seven days a week. We discussed what it takes to open a café on a small budget, taking on multiple roles within the business and the challenges of building a team who share your ethos and enthusiasm. We also talked about the importance of provenance, building relationships with your suppliers and using seasonal, short mileage produce. It was also really interesting to hear about the supperclubs they hold, including the fantastic support their guest chefs receive throughout the process. Listen to the end for an exciting announcement!
