Abby Casey, airgunner and hunter, joins Sam on The Wild Initiative to discuss her passion for airguns. Abby tells us a bit about her introduction to the airgun world and what airgunning really is. She lets us know that airguns aren’t toy airsoft rifles or the bb-guns of our youth, but, in fact, can offer significant projectile size and power, with some replicating traditional firearms, including the recoil. Because of this, Abby says airguns can be a fantastic way to introduce youth to firearms and hunting. Abby and Sam then move on to discuss the bias present in social media against hunters and firearms enthusiasts and how conversations with anti-gun advocates tend to be incredibly unproductive.
