Fear is all around us today, and while some of us have been living with it since the start of the year, some are just getting into it – it’s almost like this ripple of fear that has spread across the world. There’s fear of the virus, fear for our family and friends, fear of losing our jobs, wages being cut and fear of an unknown future – how long will this last?

But we must overcome fear if we are to recover and rebound and it starts with managing our own fear.

In this episode, we speak to Dr Adrian Wang, who runs his own psychiatry and counselling centre at Gleneagles Medical Centre in Singapore. Before commencing private practice in Oct 2005, he was chief of the Department of General Psychiatry and consultant-in-charge of the Anxiety and Mood Clinic at the Institute of Mental Health. He was the chief CARE officer of the National CARE Management System from 2001 to 2005, and was involved in planning the psychological responses for the Asian Tsunami Crisis in 2004 and the Silkair MI185 and SIA 006 air crashes.
