A lot of disconnected issues are thrown together under the umbrella concept of a "lame duck" congress in this episode. For those blissfully unaware, the term originates from a British metaphor for an easy mark on the financial markets. A lame duck being unable to keep up with its flock, thence becoming an easy target for predators.

Anyway, somehow this was coopted by the American political discourse to refer to a politician who's been voted out of office already but is serving out the remainder of their term. Never mind that said person is arguably in the LEAST vulnerable position of their career because they have nothing to lose. We get left with shit like Mitch McConnell twisting the concept to steal a supreme court seat and arguably the entire governance of the country.

Drunken Ukrainians (represent), President Dad fixing CJ and Danny's professional-cum-romantic relationship, and Ainsley's Republican Talking Points rear their heads as well.

BREXIT... is never gonna happen, but a goon can dream.
