WALK AND TALK #3 - Separate From the Competition - a podcast by Jackson Wilkey and Jesse Dau

Welcome to today's YouTube For Realtors WALK AND TALK #3 - I have so many things going through my head every day about YouTube for Realtors that I just want to get it all out! I get asked so many questions everyday and coach so many agents it's time to answer all of those in depth, on my walk to the gym!

 

In today’s episode I do a deep dive into Separating from Competitions. A lot of in-depth conversations are happening among  people who want to join Exp. And of course, we would love to have them join us so we can help them. People get nervous when they know about their competitors, especially since before, no one was even watching or not sure if they were doing it right. There are thousands of agents, and one of them, maybe ten of them, would be in your same circle, but never lose your mind. Here’s what I do to separate myself from the competition:

 

1. Take control of your keywords – always search for your market, target market, cities, and suburbs. I found ways to do this first with map videos and super in-depth map videos, usually 20-35 mins. You would have wonderful title videos come out if you focused on this.

2. Vlogs – some people will ask me "what are your most successful videos?". Well, obviously, my negative videos get the most views and comments. They go viral, so up until now, they separate me from the competition. People will reach out to you, positive or negative, because of your vlogs. 

 

It will take you months to break through with your vlogs because there are millions of competitions around you, but hey! Stay super consistent. Shoot a nice, long, and good video and be consistent with uploading. Separating yourself means you've got to put in a lot of work. You have to stop looking at others as competitors and just beat them! Be yourself all the time in front of your camera. And you will discover a lot within yourself. At the end of the day, it will not happen in just the snap of a finger.
