:: ::

Samantha Houghton describes herself as a trauma thriver, book lover and coffee drinker. Maybe this is why we had so much to talk about? Samantha is an award winning author having published The Invisible Girl: A Secret Life, Permission To Be Myself and #1 bestseller Courage: Stories of Darkness to Light. She now works to help others with her writing gifts though inspirational book mentoring and intuitive ghostwriting.

In this episode we discuss how storytelling can be super healing and how writing a book allowed Samantha to change her labels and stories around mental health. We discuss her experience with being in psychiatric units whilst suffering the effects of OCD, depression and trauma which resulted in suicide attempts and how Samantha turned her life around through storytelling as a healing art form.

Samantha’s mission is to create a powerful impact on humanity through writing from her heart, using the power of words through books, film and speaking.  Hearing the right and profound words have encouraged her massively in her life to free herself of complex trauma, heal and aim to reach the life of her dreams. She uses this to inspire and motivate others in their darkness to choose to rise, transform their lives by seeing how possible it is to go against all the odds, to succeed and to live their purpose.
