I think it’s an understatement to say that 2020 has been uncomfortable. For many, it’s been much more than that. I spoke with Jason Vinson about several things regarding photographing weddings, but one of the things he talked about was being comfortable in an uncomfortable situation (particularly when you’re shooting a wedding). Since I’ve had time to reflect on our conversation, I’ve likened it to how I’ve felt for much of this whole year. Jason suggests adopting the right mindset…one of confidence and of belonging. And I think it applies to much more than just shooting weddings. He also took some time during this crazy season to intentionally document his son for 50 days in a row.
