THE DIVIDE: SPIRIT RULE vs SOUL RULE by Vivian S. Bekele

“The Divide: Spirit Rule vs Soul Rule” is a discourse that ferrets out the results of or consequences of the transactional contract that the Adversary aka Satan caused the two Adams to enter into when she heeded his instructions that she would not die if she ate from the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.” The consequences of the transactional contract is the sin that was passed on to all their posterity unto this present day for which Yeshua aka Jesus came to shed His blood for mankind’s redemption. But do we know and understand what the “original sin” is that requires redemption?

Born in Atlanta, GA and the seventh of ten children, I, Vivian S. Bekele, am the daughter of the late Mr. Andrew James and Mrs. Lizzie S. Smith. More than my natural birth, I celebrate my spiritual birthday on 28 November each year. On that day in 1983, I recommitted my entire life to Yeshua HaMaschiach whom the world knows as Jesus, the Christ although I gave my life to Him at nine years of age.

Always fascinated with the Rhema or spoken word as a child sitting in the church pew watching the mouth of the preacher preaching, a curiosity was activated in me regarding word(s). Still intrigued by the spoken word...sounds that can be heard and discerned yet words which cannot be seen no matter how hard and long I look at the speaker’s mouth, I am left to the pursuit of words through the Logos or the written word.

Educated in the Atlanta Public School System, I graduated from Henry McNeal Turner High School. Although my formal education is varied, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education from Bay Ridge Christian College, Kendleton, TX, a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Urban Life from Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, and 49 hours toward a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, GA. I also studied writing at Long Ridge Writers Group in West Redding, CT. Still following the pursuit for formal education, I applied myself to earn a second Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a dual degree for the Doctorate of JurisPrudence at Georgia State University which was interrupted because I decided to care for my aging mother who was 97 years at that time.

Of all my pursuit for formal education, I find that being in the University of the Ruach HoKadesh whom the world knows as the Holy Spirit is the ultimate continuing education and most rewarding. This statement is apropo because the Ruach HoKadesh brings righteous understanding, wisdom and life to the knowledge that I have acquired and still acquiring.
