Our stories, yours and mine, are more than quirky happenings; each of us has been in the mind of God and his designs for all eternity. We each have, upon our souls, some aspect of the divine. However, we have, each one of us, besmirched that image from its original beauty. Our Creator, in his infinite love, places in our lives (in a way unique to each one of us) challenges, sufferings, and disappointments. When we acknowledge these events as coming from the loving hand of God, accept and embrace them, we allow God to make of us-a new creation. The Divine image in each one of us is made more beautiful by our cooperation with the work of God in our lives.

Against a background of ancestors whose travels them to America and whose legacy of faith enriched the lives their descendants, Doctor Schuler recounts the story of her life from early years through her movement through a number of scenarios.
Her entry toward the person that she would become began with five years spent as a cloistered nun.
After leaving the cloister, her next step was into a religious community of women dedicated to teaching.
Upon leaving that community, she continued to teach as a “lay person,” as opposed to being a nun who teaches in a school.
That career was followed by returning to school and acquiring a doctoral degree in psychology.
The final years of her professional life were as a psychologist in a state prison.
