With her parents and siblings, she migrated to India just before Kenyan Independence. After completing her schooling she continued with her graduation, post-graduation and finally qualified as a teacher.Teaching has been her passion where she embraced a concern for all humanity. After teaching for many years in India she was on a holiday in Australia where she met her husband. Dora continued teaching and travelling.
