US District Court Judge Roger Benitez recently overturned California's "assault weapons" ban. As 2nd Amendment supporters heralded the decision, anti-gun activists decried it with the help of much of the mainstream media. The latter group includes embattled California Governor Gavin Newsom, who angrily responded to the decision, throwing verbal barbs at Judge Benitez.

What does this mean for the fight to protect the 2nd Amendment? What happens next? Will this fight go all the way to the Supreme Court?
