105. Jill Andrews - a podcast by Seb Philpott and Verity Simmons

In this week's episode Verity teams up with another guest presenter, well more of a TIAB regular in fact...it's old pal of the podcast Phil Donnelly.

Phil has worked his magic and fixed up a chat with Nashville based singer/songwriter Jill Andrews. As luck would have it, he will be joining her on tour in just a few weeks time when she heads over for the UK leg. (Tour dates in link below)

Jill chats about writing her new albumModern Ageand some of the themes and inspirations behind it. We discover the many ways Jill is rejecting the modern age....think paper diaries and not having WhatsApp (yep, you read that correctly, can you imagine such a thing?!)

Jill discusses her stunning vintage Gibson guitar, the importance of collaboration and her excitement at playing with a band again. She talks about having her music used in TV and film - her songTell That Devilis the title track for US showWynonna Earpand was also performed in the showNashville.

It's fair to say Verity ruins this otherwise enjoyable experience for Phil when she suggests Jill employs choreography and lycra in her upcoming tour as a must for her supporting band...you are welcome.
