As pre-meds plan how to get into med school, they may think that some institutions are just beyond reach whether it be due to their acceptance rate, too high of an MCAT, GPA requirements, high tuition costs or others. But what may surprise you is that some of the hardest medical schools to get into, are not what you think. In fact, you can be thinking about going to one of the pickiest med schools in the country and you just don't know it.
Researching and preparing for your med school application is nerve-wracking. A lot of future med students dream of going to Harvard for med school but only stop at dreaming because it just seems impossible for many reasons. But think of this; as impossible as Harvard may seem, you could be confidently thinking about how feasible and easy it is to study in a school on this list and didn't know that they are far more selective.
Whether you want to continue applying to Harvard or the moonshots of your institutions, remember that there are other med schools out there. It's not the end of the world. You can get a good med school education and become a doctor in another institution and continue the M.D. Journey that you've always wanted.
