Reports from a U.S Air Force Reserve Unit Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that Tropical Storm Cristobal has made landfall near Atasta, Mexico, just to the west of Ciudad del Carmen.
The maximum winds were estimated to be 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts.
As of 8:35 a.m. CDT, Cristobal was centered inland about 20 miles (30 km) west of Ciudad Del Carmen, Mexico, moving toward the southeast at 3 mph (6 km/h).
