HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

On this week's Episode, Alex talks about Independence, both in celebration of America's Independence and his independence as an engineer.

Alex talks about the start of AG3D Printing - a 3d printing service available for anyone with an idea, business proposal, prototype - or anyone who wants to give an incredible gift! You now have your very own engineer at your disposal - and he's got 3d printers.

He also talks about China's newest dark sky reserve and the Expedition 48/49 launch on July 6th, and introduces NASA Astronaut crew member Kate Rubins - and the work she'll be doing aboard the ISS during her stay.

Enjoy!

Got a school project? Idea? Business Proposal? NEED A really cool gift?

OPENING OFFICIALLY THE WEEK OF INDEPENDENCE DAY!

LETS GET THE 21ST CENTURY IN YOUR HANDS!

A Pokeball with a glow in the dark button...making things is the best #3Dprinting #pokemon Thank you Intentional3D for the base model and design plans! Pokeball (with button-release lid) found on #Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:411193 Here is half of my new dual ventilation system for my #3Dprinting indoor setup. When you've got your printer right next to where you sleep, ventilation is probably worth it. My one fan setup just wasn't cutting it for these long prints. This is half of the mirrored fixture. The full design was too big for my printer so I'll be bonding the two together with acetone. This is also my first print using PEI as a print surface! I was running into issues with warpage and the blue painter's tape just wasn't holding the ABS down anymore. I've noticed my warpage has gotten worse since the weathers gotten colder. But PEI is REALLY nice and did a great job holding this large part down. And the surface finish on that build surface? BEAUTIFUL! Material: Neon Green ABS Infill: 15% (rectalinear) Layer Height: 0.35 Print time: 15.5 hours I found a Bulbasaur today! What a great #3dprinting Saturday It's great to have my Da Vinci Pro 3 in 1 printer back up and running. Had issues with the automatic bed calibration and finally found the answer - don't use it at all! Found out how to do it manually and it's SOOOOOOOOO much faster. Like, why-the-hell-was-I-wasting-my-time-before faster. Thank you Internet Great model by 3D Central on Thingiverse! High quality and with supports came out awesome! High-Poly Realistic Bulbasaur found on #Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1576163 Neon Green ABS, 10% rectilinear infill, 0.2 mm layer height 3 hour 35 min build time Getting back to my programming days with my new raspberrypi 3 model B! Thank you for the starter kit @adafruit ! Now I have the ability to do a lot more with my #3dprinting projects and I can't wait to get into this! Got a lot of basics to go over with python but really happy to bring some engineering projects to life
