Not only do we have the ridiculously dope and incredible, Jansport J, but we've also got emcee/manager-extraordinaire, Slim Jeff.

If you don't know Jansport J you're falling off. He's one of the best and most interesting producers out. Whether he's creating solo instrumental albums or collaborating with emcees, his sound immediately stands out in the seemingly endless sea of sample based producers.

As a huge fan of his work, it was dope to sit down and talk to J and slim about their experiences visiting Japan for the first time, navigating the music industry as a sample based artist, lo-fi and soul music, the Tokyo beat community, and much more.

The second half of the podcast drops on Tuesday. We go much more in depth about their music, their creative process, and taste in music. So tune in for that too.
