ASMR reading of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, otherwise titled The Arabian Nights (edited by Andrew Lang) and is one of the best known stories of the original Arabic text. It was added to the collection in the 18th century by Antoine Galland. In the production of the book, Galland wrote that he came across two Arabic manuscripts in Paris in 1710 and published them shortly after in Baghdad. The collection was then purchased by the Bibliotheque Nationale at the end of the nineteenth century and the stories have been remade by writers and movies ever since.
