ASMR reading of the screenplay by George A Romero and John A Russo, Night of the Living Dead (1968). Night of the Living Dead is in the public domain due to an error in the original copyright. This, of course, meant that the modern zombie movie genre boomed as more filmmakers and writers could adapt and build upon the work of Romero and Russo. It remains one of the single most important influences copyright has had on the Halloween and horror genre.

The screenplay is read as though the viewer is watching the action (with camera angles and scenery focus), but some shots and dialogue have been changed to make the film flow easier as read in the story format.

A group of people try to survive an attack of bloodthirsty zombies while trapped in a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse. Although not the first zombie film, Night of the Living Dead is the progenitor of the contemporary ‘zombie apocalypse’ horror film, and it greatly influenced the modern pop-culture zombie archetype.
