Written and published in Von dem Machandelboom, Children's and Household Tales, number 47, this tale is based on the romantic painter Philipp Otto Runge (1777 - 1810). Runge's version was first published in 1808, which the Brothers Grimm translated and then retold to better fit their style.  This track features a haunted forest background as ambiance to help you fall asleep if soft spoken ASMR is not enough to induce feelings of peacefulness.
