Hello gamers!
Welcome back to those of you who have been here with me for the last couple episodes, and a big hello to those of you who are joining in to listen for the first time.
I am your host Svenson.
Starting off this week, I just wanted to say that podcasting is an ever changing and ever learning field of entertainment. Many times when you think you know what is going on, something changes.
For the first couple of episodes I was having some minor issues getting my podcast prepared and my content out to the public. however I am glad to say that I believe all those issues have been worked out.
The word for this week is not actually a word but an abbreviation : DPS .
Depending on what type of game you play DPS will stand for either, damage per second, or damage per strike.
Simply put, the more damage you can cause to an opponent, the faster you can defeat that opponent in battle. However many times it will depend on your ability to stay alive, more so than the amount of damage you can do to an opponent.
Remember this, a dead DPS, does no DPS.
There will be many situations that you are measured by other players in your ability to play the game. A person who does high DPS is many times viewed by other players as a good player.
As a new gamer, please don't fall into this trap. As a seasoned player , I and many other players will tell you that learning the game mechanics comes first. the best thing to remember is to enjoy playing your game. Have fun with your game. The better you become with your game, the less you will focus on how other people will judge you.
