#265: Megan And Sidney Cruz "I Don't Want To Do This Anymore" Teen Suicide Prevention Awareness Part 1 - a podcast by Too Posh

Megan and her teen daughter Sidney Cruz join us to discuss the difficult time when Sidney fell into a deep depression and was moments away from committing suicide. It is a story of a single Mom
of 4 children that is trying her best, but was dealing with severe injuries from a car accident with an 18 wheeler who missed many warning signs that her youngest daughter was in trouble.

It is a story of a teenager dealing with being socially rejected by her peers as well as shunned by her soccer coach. A teenager that is overwhelmed with all the pressures of life - dealing with friends suicides, parents of friends suicides as
well as all the demands of exams at school.

On top of all that she got raped during a drunken episode and has never forgiven herself for losing her virginity that way and struggles with PTSD from the physical memories of that night.

Megan and Sidney talk about the intense pressures of the very affluent neighborhood they live in in Dallas Texas and how peer pressure is causing lots of issues in todays teens.

The worst part about being part of the Park Cities, Highland Park school system is that the parents are more involved and talk more shit about the kids than the kids do.

There is even a Facebook page called PARK CITIES CHATTER where adults blast children and talk bad about them. It is a society of trophy wives that hire nannies to take care of their children and
love to spread rumors. They will show up wasted when they pick up their children and proudly tell that they can fill an entire bottle of wine into their Starbucks cups.
