Let’s dive straight into the FFA Cup, where four Round of 32 games have just finished. There were no upsets, but plenty of goals.

Rockdale scored first against Sydney FC and kept the A-League Champions out until the 30 minute mark, before De Silva scored the first for Sydney. Three more goals in the second half saw Sydney go out to a 4-1 lead, before Rockdale scored a second 15 minutes from time. The magical comeback didn’t eventuate though, Sydney FC winning 4-2.

An own goal after about 36 seconds gave Heidelberg United the lead over Charlestown City Blues, and a header from Ellis doubled the lead inside the first 15 minutes. It looked like it was going to turn into a horrid night for the team from Northern NSW, but they almost caused an upset, scoring in the 83rd minute and piling the pressure on right to the end in search of an equalizer. It wasn’t to be, and Heidelberg progress to the Round of 16.
