Perth Glory have announced the signing of Socceroo Jason Davidson on a one-year deal. Davidson is the latest Aussie international to link up with the Glory, after Matt Spiranovic and Ivan Franjic joined in recent months.

FFA is taking a leaf from the NRL's book for the A-League, creating a centralised bunker facility for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.

It was also confirmed that, while the league will break for international windows in November and March, there will be no recess during the Asian Cup which runs from January 5 to February 1.

Some other news that isn’t specifically about Australian football but will have an impact is that FIFA have finally confirmed that the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will take place over the months of November and December.
