King David wrote in Psalm 141: 2 that " _Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense_ .." this is the spiritual aspect of the action that the priests were performing in the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies, I spoke earlier in one of the episodes of this podcast that incense is burnt in the Holy Place while some pieces are placed in front of the Ark of the testimony where God usually met with Moses, so as those pieces are set forth before God, David in this verse of the scripture asked that his prayers should also be set forth before God because *prayer is not just talking it's communicating with the Creator of the universe and receiving response from Him* .

We should therefore be like David, though he lived in the dispensation of Law when there was necessity for them to have physical materials to invoke the presence of God or to accompany their prayers, yet he operated in the understanding of the New Covenant but *in the now, you carry the incense on your inside and you can kindle the fire to raise the aroma of your incense in prayers wherever you're*

You can set it before God and it will rise as a sweet smelling aroma
