SPOILER ALERT!

The wait is finally over--the long-awaited fan film, Star Trek - Horizon, has been released to the Internet a full two days earlier than announced!

Created by a single filmmaker as a personal passion project and love letter to Star Trek: Enterprise, Horizon had a budget of only $50,000. Pre-production on the movie began in December of 2012 and this three-year-long odyssey concluded this past week.

It's been a long road, getting from there to here, and the response has been amazing.

Dan and Bill will examine this potentially game-changing fan film and give their review Then, they'll answer the ultimate question: "Is it Star Trek?"

BE WARNED: This episode is filled with spoilers! If you haven't watched Star Trek - Horizon yet, you risk having plot points revealed!

Plus, they'll talk about the Star Trek news of the day, including some casting news for Jonathan Frakes, the new Consulting Producer on the forthcoming Star Trek series for CBS All Access, and they'll observe the first anniversary of the death of Leonard Nimoy-something which still is emotional for a great many of us.

SCHEDULING NOTE: Originally, we were supposed to have Horizon's writer/producer/director, Tommy Kraft, as part of this podcast episode. Unfortunately, he was forced to reschedule due to a last-minute conflict and we definitely look forward to chatting with him soon!
