After losing her left leg in a roadside bomb in Iraq, becoming a Paralympic medallist would have been the furthest thing from Melissa Stockwell's mind. But through her dedication, resolve and natural talent she did just that, and claimed bronze on the Copacabana seafront at Rio 2016. She joins me today to tell her story, and what a story it is. She speaks about that day in Baghdad that changed her life, the unique challenges she faces as an amputee triathlete, and how she now aims to help other people with disabilities get into the sport of triathlon. For more on her charity, Dare2Tri, check out their website at https://dare2tri.org/. And if you'd like to give me a shout, please do at trimeariver@gmail.com or on Twitter @trimeariver. Until next time!
