Karen was 39 years old when she was brutally murdered in her home in Decatur Alabama in 1999. She was married to a successful doctor and on the surface they had a great marriage with 3 children. Police pinned the murder on a man named Daniel Wade Moore after he confessed to being in the home during the murder. But the odyssey of Daniel Wade Moore would be a long one with twists and turns that ultimately led to his freedom.

Their first conviction win against him went off without a hitch. But, over the years, evidence started to come out that had not been turned over to the defense.
