It's more than just a 1999 film starring Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones..

The Double Jeopardy Clause in the Fifth Amendment of the U.S Constitution prohibits anyone from being prosecuted twice for substantially the same crime. The relevant part of the Fifth Amendment states, "No person shall . . . be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb . . . . "

In the winter of 1991, Jennifer Watts was 17. She had a two year old son named Paul Eugene. People called him PJ. Jennifer had separated from the boy's father and was living with a new boyfriend, 28 year old Michael Lane.  February 10th, 1991, Jennifer went to church and left Michael at home to babysit PJ...and that was the last time Little PJ was seen alive.
