After a white police officer killed a black man during an arrest in Minneapolis, protests quickly exploded into riots, which local leaders responded to by withdrawing law enforcement. This has brought the issue of racial division in America roaring back.

China’s parliament passed a law that many say marks the end of a free Hong Kong, imposing on the people of what was supposed to be an autonomous territory, Chinese Communist Party justice.

Iran sent five oil tankers into Venezuela this week, a provocative move that highlights long-standing efforts to establish a foothold in South America as a means to attack the United States.
