Apple iOS 13 Terms of Service Highlights

  • iMessage - Apple may hold your messages in encrypted form for a limited period of time in order to ensure delivery (Section 4). 
  • Apple Maps - By using Maps, you agree and consent to Apple’s and its subsidiaries’ and agents’ transmission, collection, maintenance, processing, and use of this information, to provide and improve the Maps features and service, and other Apple products and services (Section 5 (d)). 
  • Photos - Sharing or syncing photos through your device may cause metadata, including where and when the photo was taken, and depth information, to be transmitted with the photos (Section 5(i)). 
  • For whatever reason if a person didn’t want to use Google Search as their default search engine in Safari they have the options for Yahoo to be the default but only in select countries (Section 16). 
  • Apple software isn’t intended to power nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation or communication systems, air traffic control, life support or weapon systems.
