On Jordan's Stormy Banks - a podcast by Rex Bridges

Samuel Stennett's poem raises our vision from the trials that confront us in our daily walk to the land of "Canaan"  "where my possessions lie," my true possessions.  The metaphor Canaan is extended to show the Promised Land is beyond this life and is the land where Jesus reigns.  What great hope we have, and can tell to others, as we look forward to that time when we will cross those banks and be in Jesus' presence.
