When we read the narratives of the lives of Joseph or Job, Paul or even Jesus, we do not always see what God is doing in people's lives.  This was also true of the prominent black Philadelphia preacher Charles A. Tindley, for whom the Tindley Temple Methodist Church was named.  In his service to Jesus, he was faithful and knew that one day all would be made known, as expressed in the song he wrote, We'll Understand It Better By and By.
