We can pay benefits only to U.S. citizens and
noncitizens working legally in the United States.
If you are not a citizen, we must verify your
Alien Registration number with U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS). If you worked here
illegally, we cannot use your wages to calculate
benefits.
