Charles interviews Aesthetica Magazine's Cherie Federico about the eleventh edition of the Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York and online. Graham discusses Adele and the algorithms that continue to amplify her success. Charles reports back on The Ballad Of Johnny Longstaff, folk trio The Young'uns' latest gig - or is it gig/theatre? Graham ponders on Public Service Broadcasting's way forward with Bright Magic and follows up on last week's review of Wes Anderson's film release, The French Dispatch.

The Aesthetica Short Film Festival is an international film festival which takes place annually in York at the beginning of November. Founded in 2011, it is a celebration of independent film from around the world, and an outlet for supporting and championing filmmaking. It runs from 2 - 30 November 2021.

Cherie Federico is the Editor of Aesthetica Magazine and the Director of the BAFTA-Qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF). Originally from New York, Cherie moved to the UK in 2002 to study for her Masters degree and founded Aesthetica, which she has developed into an international brand distributed in 525 stores in the UK and exported to 20 countries.
