Rob and Michelle talk about how our brains are actively working against us when consuming media of all kinds, but we're particularly vulnerable on social media. Our brains are lazy and not necessarily equipped for quick critical thinking. It's important to know how our social media feeds work against us on purpose so we can work to counter it's effects.

Materials discussed in this episode are The Social Dilemma (a documentary available on Netflix),  "You are Not a Gadget" by Jaron Lanier and "Think Before You Like" by Guy Harrison.

Join in on the next episode where we will talk about our next book club pick, Gunsmoke and Trail Dust by Bliss Lomax, found on hoopla.
