In this episode, AML reviews the mechanism of action of proposed treatment options, and talks to Dr Mahesh Patel and Dr Scott Borgetti about the evidence, research and controversies behind all these therapies. We will also focus on differing opinions on the use of these drugs before data definitively proves their clinical benefit. Below are some articles, and interesting editorials on JAMA and other journals on this topic. We are all balancing the need to do (treat) and the need to learn (study), as we evaluate and treat patients with COVID19. There’s no perfect answer, but a great discussion nonetheless. Data changes by the minute. This conversation reflects our thoughts as of 4/4. Thanks for tuning in!
