My First Bike Race: Matt Zimmer & Kerry Werner - Episode 34 - a podcast by Coach Tim Hall

We are kicking off a new series called My First Bike Race, and our first stories are from Matt Zimmer and Kerry Werner. Matt's first bike race goes back to the Iowa State Championship many years ago, and Kerry recalls his first mountain bike race up in Pennsylvania. Plus, Kerry shares his new passion of beekeeping and what he has learned about bees. Both have gone on to become professional racers, but it was that first race that lit the fire! I share my own story from the year 2000 at the Highland Rim Classic Road Race, and how getting DFL has turned into a life up to my eyeballs in cycling. I wouldn't trade that day for anything under the sun. We are going to explore this series and record more stories of many others, so sit back and enjoy the show!
