Nancy Bradshaw is an airline pilot, commercial ASEL and Helicopter pilot. She has a Masters in Aerospace Engineering and was a Flight Test Engineer for nine years. She absolutely loved her work, but sitting in a dark control room behind a computer all day, was not the way she wanted to spend her career.

In 2015 she decided to change her career from being an Aerospace Engineer, to becoming a Pilot and she says that it is the best decision she’s made. Becoming a pilot has taught her so much about herself, has pushed her limits and has made her feel like she can accomplish anything that she sets her mind to.

In this episode we talk specifically about:

  • why the greatest gift of becoming a pilot was a new level of confidence in herself

  • how to stand your ground as a woman and being of color in a male dominated industry

  • how to not let criticism and judgement get to you

  • how to find the true purpose for your voice

  • the remedy when you feel like burning out

  • the exact steps to become an airline pilot on the side

  • the effects of COVID19 on her career
