Conspiracy theories aren’t new, but they've never been more consequential than in 2021. We spoke to communication studies assistant professor Joseph McGlynn and psychology professor Rex Wright to learn more about how conspiracy theories take root, the role social media plays in their spread, and how to identify and avoid misinformation.
