My kids barely look at the toy aisle anymore! Well.... not quite...

The number one mistake people make when purging their household... they don't involve family members in the process. It can be tempting to bust through with a big trash bin (a la Mama Bear in my favorite literary masterpiece, Berenstain Bears and The Messy Room), but the clean up effort won't last.
Mama Bear cooled off and ultimately got it right- gotta involve the cubs if you want the keep your den under control long-term.
