Jimmy Stewart is the only original cast member from the 1946 drama. Ruined by a miser on Christmas Eve, a suicidal family man sees life anew thanks to his guardian angel. Hans Conreid plays the role of Mr Potter made famous by Lionel Barrymore, while Arthur Q Bryan (in a voice reminiscent of his Elmer Fudd character) serves ably as Clarence Oddbody, Angel Third Class.
