Look To Jesus - Rich in poetic typology, this hymn has become one of all time my favorites. See how many Old Testament figures you can identify. I'll leave the lyrics below if you want to follow along. I've often thought that no one must have beheld Christ quite like Mary did. So with her, let us give him our full attention and adoration.

Lo, how a Rose eer blooming
From tender stem hath sprung,
Of Jesses lineage coming,
As men of old have sung.
It came, a flowret bright,
Amid the cold of winter,
When half spent was the night.
Isaiah twas foretold it,
The Rose I have in mind;
With Mary we behold it,
The virgin mother kind.
To show Gods love aright,
She bore to men a Savior,
When half spent was the night.
