This season of the VMP Anthology Podcast--our 16th!--is devoted to telling the story of the eight album box set devoted to Cadet Records, a short-lived jazz, blues, and soul music imprint underneath the Chess banner that launched artists like Minnie Riperton and Charles Stepney. 

In this episode, we talk to Robert Gordon, Muddy Waters' biographer, about Electric Mud, an experimental blues album Muddy Waters made for Cadet that Muddy thought was the worst of his career.
