Entertainment from movies to music originating from Ghana has never been supported in Nigeria with many of the top acts in music getting ignored in Nigeria. The likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who are the top artists in Ghana do not get airplay on many Nigerian radio stations and TV meanwhile an average Nigerian artist will enjoy a lot of airtime in Ghana.

Ghanaians have always supported Nigerian acts and performers from either by making them part of shows in the country or local artists featuring them. This curtesy has never been extended to Ghanaian artists in Nigeria with many artists and observers in Ghana starting to question why the industry keep supporting Nigerian artists when it isn't reciprocated. 

Davido, Wizkid, Tekno, 2Face and Teni have all headlined events and shows in Ghana with huge turnouts. Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage both performed recently in Ghana with the audience showing them lots of love while Stonebwoy's recent performance in Nigeria was just sad because of the audience reactions.

Some people have argued that Nigerian movies and music are superior to that of Ghana hence the disparity.
