Ladies! Welcome back to Water with Lemon and thanks for joining in on this week’s episode! This week, I got to sit down with, Amanda Hope Haley. We talk all about her new book, Mary Magdalene Never Wore Blue Eyeshadow and the adventures that led up to it.

I got to have such a fun conversation with Amanda about what God says about the Bible versus what we say about the Bible. I think that this conversation is so vital because we live in a world that listens to podcasts and reads different devotionals as a supplement to the Bible, however, we should not let those things alter what God and the Bible are actually saying. Something that Melissa said that really stuck out to me is to be uncomfortable and spend time in those places because that’s where He is going to reveal Himself the most. It is so good that we have all of these new books that we can use to grow and understand the Bible. At the end of the day, the only way that we can understand the Bible more is to dive into the Word. I’m so excited about this conversation with Amanda and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Something that was talked about in the podcast was about legalism. I think that it is so easy to believe something that we were taught as a child. However, I believe that if we have questions about the Bible, go back to the roots and read the Bible. Like Amanda said, don’t read just a couple of verses but read the whole thing. This is how we grow into what we really believe and not what others believe. God is not done with us yet, we are not done growing and learning about the Bible. I hope that you go check out Amanda’s book, Mary Magdalene Never Wore Blue Eyeshadow and hear more of her story and background. I hope that this episode was refreshing to listen to. Thank you so much for the continued support and I’ll see you next week. Stay fresh, my people.

Thank you for listening in today, I would love if you would share this episode with a friend and write a quick review and give the podcast a rating-it helps so much because of the iTunes algorithms.
