Hey Ladies! Welcome back to the podcast and thanks for joining in on this week’s episode! This week, I get to sit down with my friend and pastor, Jamin Roller. We got to chat about mental health and understanding who we are.

This week on the podcast, we have my wonderful pastor Jamin Roller talking about mental health and his thought provoking ideas about it. I got to have an insightful conversation with him about it and understanding who we are and who we are in Christ. I think that this was such a life-giving conversation because we got to talk about things that people really struggle with when it comes to anxiety, depression, and other mental illnesses. We live in a generation that is constantly surrounded by technology and stress that can lead to things like depression and anxiety. However, we have a merciful and loving God that is near take those worries away. In Matthew 11, it says that when we go to the Father, He will take our heavy burdens and give us rest. I think that this episode really speaks into that. I’m so glad that I got to talk with Jamin because he tells us that there is so much more than our worries in not be with us in Heaven!

Y’all, thanks again for listening in and I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Jamin today! I pray that you are able to seek the Kingdom first and find rest in the Father.

Something that was talked about in the podcast was about difficult feelings and the escape of them through technology. We have used iPhones to drown out negative and hard feelings for so many years that we have tried to escape feelings of loneliness. I think that phones and social media are such an easy distraction but this is not a new thing, it started at the garden. Starting new habits that make seem cliche or old to us by fixing the problem of distraction. We need to cling to intentionally creating spaces that we’re going to face that we want to hide from. I hope that this episode was helpful and fruitful to listen to. Thank you so much for the continued support and I’ll see you next week. Stay fresh, my people.
