Chris Orwig is a portrait photographer, best-selling author and an educator at heart. He is a Sony Artisan, has written six books and authored over 100 online courses. His work has been seen in publications like Rolling Stone, Esquire Magazine and the NY Times. His clients include Google, Patagonia, Adobe and The Nature Conservancy. Chris is on a mission to connect with creatives who are like-minded, amplify goodness and make more of it.

In this episode, we learn why Chris’ ultimate goal in portraiture isn’t actually the pictures. Chris opens up about what he did when he realized that he’d completely lost interest in portraiture. We go behind the scenes of writing his new book Authentic Portraits: Searching for Soul, Significance, and Depth. Chris explains the similarities of being in flow with both surfing and photography and explains how we all can learn to see our weaknesses as our strengths.

This is We Are Photographers with Chris Orwig and this is his story.
