Their dog was even being attacked. Journalists, demonologists, and even the Roman Catholic Church got involved. It caught the attention of the media, which resulted in several published articles, a TV movie, and even paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren agreed to consult on the case. Some believe this was the product of untreated health issues, and others believe it was a hoax for fame. What was really going on in the Smurl house and what is the Smurl family up to today?
