We got on the Internet because it gave us knowledge. We signed up for social media because it connected. We used or internet personas to log into to apps because it was convenient. Little did we know that all along they were actually connecting into our daily lives and learning as much as they could in order to use our data.

After years of learning as much as they could, we find out how our data can be used, manipulated, and extorted to do whatever the purchaser of that data wants. From target ads to swaying elections, our data is out there and open for use.

And, this is not good.
